We are an independent integrated completion provider based in Norway.
In the heart of Norway's energy capital Stavanger, a journey began with a simple yet transformative philosophy – "Well-first thinking." In 2019, a band of pioneers, driven by a customer and solution-oriented mindset, founded Marwell. Their vision wasn't just to supply downhole tools; it was to revolutionize the very approach to well completion.

Our People
General Manager - Mike Williamson
Mike has played a key role in developing new technologies and commercializing them in international markets. His forward-thinking drive to improve on current methods is coupled with experience from senior leadership roles within the energy industry. Mike loves to spend his spare time at sea and can often be found onboard a boat!
Technology Manager - Geirmund Sætre
Having been responsible for new technology development in several organisations, Geirmund’s experience extends across both small, innovative companies and major oil service companies across Norway, the USA, and Middle East. He has held various positions in management, sales, business development and engineering with Halliburton, Easywell and NOV. Passionate about new technology, Geirmund leads all product development in Marwell.
Product Line Manager - Øystein Eide
​Øystein has previously served as Drilling and Wells asset manager for Aker BP on the Valhall field. Øystein has a wealth of experience in drilling and completions having held several operational roles with Amoco, BP and Aker BP spanning 31 years. In recent years he has held senior roles within the leadership group of Aker BP.
Product Line Manager - Petter Rommetvedt
Petter joined Marwell from his position as MD of Perigon AS. Petter has a background in completions having spent 9 years in Halliburton across various roles. He has product engineering experience from Archer Oiltools and spent 2 years in TCO as Account Manager before moving to Perigon in 2017 where he focused on the cementing market. If you can’t reach Petter on the phone he is probably skiing down a steep mountain somewhere.
Product Line Manager - Geir Lundgård
​Geir has 11 years of experience in different capacities at Halliburton, predominantly focusing on VersaFlex liner hangers and completions. Before becoming a part of Marwell, he spent 2 years focusing on metal expandable packers in Welltec. Outside the office, Geir finds solace in the mountains both winter and summer either skiing or rolling downhill.
